Armed Robbery of Coffee Using Tear-Gas Gun

On November 3, the police in Krông Năng District, Đắk Lắk Province reported that they are searching for two suspects who used a tear-gas pellet gun to steal coffee.

According to the initial police information, on the morning of November 2, Phạm Văn Quy (36), a resident of Block 4 in Krông Năng town, went to check his coffee plantation in the same area. There he discovered two unfamiliar young men stealing coffee cherries.

When confronted, one of them pulled a brown-green handgun from his belt and threatened: “Don’t shout, or I’ll shoot.” He then fired a round into the ground, prompting Mr. Quy to run away. The two men grabbed two sacks of freshly picked coffee and escaped on a motorbike.

Local police quickly arrived at the scene and confirmed that the weapon used in the robbery was a tear-gas pellet gun.
