The centrifugation of latex is done using a disc centrifuge, the centrifuge separates the water into a part to have the desired amount of condensed rubber, the discharged serum can be used as a skimock. Centrifugal rubber has two types LA (low ammonia) and HA (high ammonia). Technical standards for centrifuged latex have been specified, which in the production process must ensure these criteria are: VFA value (volatile fatty acid), KOH index, MST (mechanical stability), alkalinity (NH3), TSC (total solids content), DRC (dry rubber content)….etc.
Application:
Currently, centrifugal rubber is widely applied in engineering as well as in daily life. Because rubber itself is a liquid containing dispersed rubber particles, it is very convenient to shape products such as mattresses, gloves (medical, technical), glue, bubbles .....etc
Process map:
+ Steel drums: is the traditional packaging method, the outside is painted blue, the inside is coated with Bitumen or Epoxy, can hold 205kilos (55 gallons) of centrifugal rubber - Latex, each 20' container Export contains 80 drums = 16.40 tons (36,080 "wet" pounds).
+ Flexi-bag (Flexitank), is a PE bag made of rubber, plastic, or synthetic fiber. It is the new, cheapest, and widely used packaging method today. With a control valve design, it is convenient to pump latex caps in as well as when sucking out. Each Flexi-bag can hold 21mts when placed inside container 20.
