The purpose of the official visit of Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi is to promote the cooperation and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and China to continue to develop and achieve new achievements. , for the benefit of the two peoples, for peace, stability, cooperation and development of the two countries, as well as of the region and the world.

Regarding the Vietnam-China Bilateral Cooperation Steering Committee, this is an annual meeting between the two countries. At this conference, leaders and agencies of the two sides will meet and directly discuss issues in the bilateral relationship, in order to remove difficulties and promote Vietnam-China relations. .
