Cambodia’s Rubber Exports Reach Nearly USD 150 Million in the First Four Months of 2025

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), Cambodia’s rubber export value reached nearly USD 150 million in the first four months of 2025, including both rubber latex and rubberwood. This marks a 19.74% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Specifically, rubber exports accounted for USD 148.18 million, while rubberwood exports contributed USD 1.69 million.

Despite higher revenue, export volume decreased during this period. Cambodia exported 76,467 tons of rubber, down by 8,961 tons, or 10.5% lower than in the first four months of 2024. However, the average export price of rubber rose significantly to USD 1,926 per ton, up USD 461 per ton or 31.47%, compared to USD 1,465 per ton a year earlier.

As of now, Cambodia has planted 425,443 hectares of rubber trees, of which 330,259 hectares (78%) are mature and ready for tapping. About 47,001 hectares (11%) remain undeveloped. Rubber plantations under economic land concessions cover 176,121 hectares (41%), while family-owned smallholdings account for 202,321 hectares (48%) of the country’s total rubber cultivation area.

In 2024, Cambodia earned USD 671.7 million from rubber exports — an increase of over USD 150 million compared to 2023, reflecting the sector’s growing contribution to national exports.
