The Buôn Đôn District Agricultural Extension Station recently organized a training session on “Techniques for Planting and Caring for Coffee Trees” for 30 local farmers who grow coffee on a large scale.
During the training, agricultural extension officers instructed participants on how to select, plant, and propagate coffee varieties, with a particular focus on robusta coffee. The station introduced nine high-quality robusta lines—TR4, TR5, TR6, TR7, TR8, TR9, TR11, TR12, and TR13—all of which have been tested and are widely chosen by coffee farmers across the province.
Farmers were also guided on how to manage plant nutrition and integrated pest control, apply fertilizers appropriately, and harvest and process coffee beans to meet GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) standards.
