According to the People’s Committee of Di Linh District (Lâm Đồng Province) on November 13, local communes have set up hundreds of community self-management teams to prevent theft of coffee cherries during the current harvest season.
These teams take turns patrolling around the clock so farmers can wait until the cherries ripen evenly before picking, helping to ensure both product quality and production efficiency. Thanks to the effective work of these self-managed patrols, the practice of harvesting unripe (green) coffee out of fear of theft has dropped significantly.
