Gateway to Vietnam: Bridging Opportunities for Latvian Businesses Ahead of Vietnam International Sourcing 2025

On April 23, 2025, the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), in cooperation with the Embassy of Vietnam and the Vietnam Trade Office in Sweden cum Latvia, successfully organized an online seminar titled “Gateway to Vietnam.”

The event attracted strong interest from numerous Latvian enterprises seeking business opportunities and market expansion in Asia, particularly in Vietnam—a dynamic and fast-growing market with significant potential.

A Platform for Strengthening Latvia–Vietnam Trade and Investment Relations

The webinar provided an overview of the trade and investment relations between Latvia and Vietnam, highlighting Vietnam’s favorable business environment, investment incentives, and competitive advantages within global supply chains.

The seminar also served as a preparatory step for the upcoming Latvian business delegation’s visit to Vietnam, scheduled for September 2–11, 2025, jointly organized by LCCI and the Vietnam Trade Office in Sweden.

Speakers included representatives from the Embassy of Vietnam in Sweden, the Department of European–American Market Development (Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam), LCCI representatives in Vietnam, and several experts and Latvian entrepreneurs currently operating in Vietnam. Their practical insights and multi-dimensional perspectives helped Latvian companies better understand Vietnam’s market potential and cooperation prospects.

Part of Vietnam International Sourcing 2025 Promotion Campaign

The event was part of a series of promotional activities for Vietnam International Sourcing 2025, a flagship trade promotion event directed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and organized by the Department of European–American Market Development.

The exhibition aims to help Vietnamese and international businesses integrate deeper into global production and supply chains and connect directly with international distributors, importers, and retailers.

Vietnam International Sourcing 2025 will take place from September 4–6, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, covering an exhibition area of over 10,000 square meters. The event will feature hundreds of manufacturing and exporting enterprises alongside global buyers participating in seminars, B2B meetings, and sourcing sessions.

Strong Participation from Northern European Enterprises

In addition to the upcoming Latvian business delegation, more than 10 Swedish enterprises have confirmed their attendance through coordination with the Vietnam Trade Office in Sweden.
Notable participants include H&M, Port of Gothenburg, GFI Stockholm, and East Asia Food, among others.

Summary

The “Gateway to Vietnam” seminar marked another step forward in enhancing bilateral trade and investment cooperation between Latvia and Vietnam. By connecting Latvian businesses with the Vietnam International Sourcing 2025 platform, the event lays a strong foundation for new partnerships, investment opportunities, and sustainable supply chain integration.
