Global Synthetic Polyisoprene Rubber Market Expected to Reach USD 1.3 Billion by 2032

According to Future Market Insights (FMI), the global synthetic polyisoprene rubber market is expected to reach USD 1.3 billion by 2032, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.2% from 2022 to 2032.

This growth will be primarily driven by rising demand from the automotive, industrial, and medical sectors, as well as the expansion of East Asian markets, which continue to dominate global production and consumption.

Key Growth Drivers

Synthetic polyisoprene rubber is a high-performance material widely used in the manufacture of tires, belts, footwear, adhesives, and medical products such as gloves and medical balloons.

The report highlights several key drivers behind market expansion:

  • Tire manufacturing remains the largest application segment, accounting for the majority of global consumption.

  • The increasing awareness among employers regarding industrial safety and the rising demand for medical and industrial gloves continue to boost the market.

  • The growing use of adhesives, sealants, and rubber-based components in the construction and manufacturing industries further supports market growth.

With its excellent elasticity, resilience, and durability, synthetic polyisoprene is expected to maintain strong demand across multiple end-use industries through the next decade.

Regional Outlook: East Asia Leads Global Demand

East Asia will remain the largest regional market, led by China, Japan, and South Korea, owing to strong automotive production, expanding healthcare manufacturing, and high consumption of technical rubber goods.

Europe and North America are also expected to post stable growth, supported by increasing investments in sustainable rubber materials and advanced manufacturing processes.

Emerging markets in Southeast Asia — including Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia — are projected to contribute significantly through growing synthetic rubber capacity and improved downstream processing infrastructure.

Digital Platform Supports Sustainable Natural Rubber Reporting

In a related development, Agridence, a Singapore-based company specializing in digital supply chain solutions for agricultural commodities, has launched a digital reporting platform tailored for the Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber (GPSNR).

The tool aims to simplify sustainability reporting and data consolidation for members across the natural rubber value chain.

Initially introduced to GPSNR members in 2022, the platform was developed following a request from a major tire manufacturer seeking to streamline complex sustainability reporting workflows.
By 2023, two additional global tire manufacturers adopted the tool.

Previously, GPSNR members expressed concern about excessive reporting requirements and non-standardized formats. In response, GPSNR appointed Agridence as its official technology partner to create a unified online reporting form, allowing users to log in, complete, and submit reports with a single click.

In 2024, Agridence upgraded the platform to make it available to all GPSNR members, further improving data integration and transparency across the rubber supply chain.

About GPSNR

The Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber (GPSNR) is a multi-stakeholder initiative established to define and promote sustainability across the global natural rubber value chain.

The platform brings together producers, processors, tire manufacturers, NGOs, and other stakeholders, emphasizing fairness, inclusivity, and environmental responsibility.

Today, over 60% of the world’s natural rubber demand is represented by GPSNR members, underscoring the platform’s central role in driving global sustainability standards.
