To help Vietnamese businesses better understand the Arab market, including its investment climate, trade practices, and business culture, the Vietnam Trade Office in Saudi Arabia organized a Business Consultation and Market Introduction Conference on the sidelines of the Saudi Food Show 2025, held in Riyadh from May 12–14, 2025.
The event was attended by a delegation from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam (MOIT) led by Mr. Nguyễn Phúc Nam – Deputy Director General of the Department of Asia–Africa Markets; Mr. Đào Minh Chánh – Deputy Director of the Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) of Ho Chi Minh City; representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy in Saudi Arabia; and 52 Vietnamese enterprises exhibiting at the country’s largest food and beverage trade fair.
Detailed Insights into the Arab Market
At the conference, Mr. Trần Trọng Kim, First Secretary of the Embassy and Head of the Vietnam Trade Office in Saudi Arabia, provided a comprehensive overview of the Arab market’s potential and significant growth opportunities driven by rising regional demand.
He emphasized that Saudi Arabia remains a relatively new market for many Vietnamese exporters. Several companies, participating for the first time, expressed concerns and sought detailed guidance. The Trade Office addressed their questions thoroughly and pledged to accompany Vietnamese enterprises throughout their business operations in the Arab market.
“Saudi Arabia offers enormous trade opportunities for Vietnam. We are committed to supporting Vietnamese businesses every step of the way to ensure their success in this promising market,”

Government Support and Market Facilitation
Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyễn Phúc Nam highlighted that the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in coordination with relevant government agencies, has been implementing numerous policies and initiatives to strengthen Vietnam–Saudi Arabia trade ties and expand access to Middle Eastern markets.
Meanwhile, Mr. Đào Minh Chánh praised the Vietnam Trade Office’s active consultation and coordination with ITPC in inviting enterprises to the Saudi Food Show 2025 and organizing this conference.
He affirmed that participation in the fair and related events was a strategic and meaningful decision that would help Ho Chi Minh City businesses boost trade growth and contribute to Vietnam’s overall economic development.
Vietnam Pavilion Officially Launched at Saudi Food Show 2025
During the exhibition, representatives from the organizing committee, ITPC, the Embassy, and the Vietnam Trade Office jointly cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Vietnam Pavilion — an attractively designed national booth hosting 52 Vietnamese exhibitors.
The pavilion drew strong attention from international visitors and buyers, with many praising Vietnam’s diverse, high-quality food and beverage products.
This was the largest-ever Vietnamese business delegation to participate in a trade event in Saudi Arabia.
Promising Trade Results and Future Prospects
According to ITPC’s preliminary report, within just two days, all participating enterprises had secured at least ten export orders each, signaling promising business opportunities and expanding market prospects in the months ahead.
The success of this event marks another significant milestone in Vietnam’s trade promotion strategy toward the Arab region, laying a strong foundation for sustained growth and partnership between Vietnamese enterprises and Middle Eastern markets.
