India Receives Anti-Dumping Petition on Medical Rubber Gloves from Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam

The Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) of India has announced that it has received an application requesting an anti-dumping investigation into medical rubber gloves originating in or imported from Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.

At present, there are no detailed public disclosures regarding the specific product scope or further aspects of the case.

Recommendations for Vietnamese Exporters

In response to this development, the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam (TRAV) has advised the Vietnam Rubber Association, relevant organizations, and Vietnamese producers/exporters of medical rubber gloves to take the following actions:

  • Review export data related to shipments of the concerned products to India;

  • Communicate with Indian importers and customers to gather more information about the case and India’s domestic manufacturing situation;

  • Study India’s anti-dumping investigation procedures and legal framework thoroughly;

  • Prepare a response strategy and allocate resources in case the investigation is officially initiated;

  • Stay in close contact with TRAV to receive timely updates and technical assistance.
