Industrial Zone Division Excels in Emulation Movements and Task Performance

On December 14, the Industrial Zone (IZ) Division held its 2023 Summary Conference on Emulation and Commendation and signed the 2024 Emulation Agreement. The event was attended and directed by Mr. Hoang Van Thu, Secretary of the Emulation and Commendation Council under the Commission for the Management of State Capital at Enterprises (CMSC).

Overcoming Difficulties, Achieving Strong Results

In 2023, both domestic and international economic conditions remained challenging, while geopolitical instability in several regions continued to affect production, business, and investment attraction. Some enterprises within industrial zones faced capital mobilization difficulties, forcing them to delay project implementation. Others had to reduce production due to a lack of orders, directly impacting IZ revenue.

Labor shortages in certain localities also posed challenges for labor-intensive industries, while administrative bottlenecks in industrial zone expansion slowed land-leasing plans, affecting business results.

Despite these headwinds, IZ enterprises successfully met or exceeded key performance indicators. The highest-performing company achieved 115.53% of revenue and 125.12% of post-tax profit targets. On average, all units met or surpassed goals related to profit-to-capital ratio, employee income, and dividend payout.

Impressive 2023 Performance Metrics

The eight IZ companies within the emulation bloc all completed their assigned plans. Emulation and commendation campaigns were implemented widely, and social contribution activities were actively supported with a total charity budget of VND 1.62 billion.

Key results included:

  • Total revenue: nearly VND 1,742 billion (84% of plan)

  • Post-tax profit: VND 706 billion (111% of plan)

  • Profit-to-equity ratio: over 64% (106.9% of plan)

  • Tax contribution: VND 411 billion (75.2% of plan)

  • Average employee income: VND 15.4 million/month (110.5% of plan)

Building Unity Through Emulation and Social Responsibility

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, General Director of Dau Giay Industrial Zone and Vice Head of the Division, the IZ units carried out numerous emulation movements, including:

  • Striving to meet annual business targets,

  • Celebrating national holidays and major events,

  • Promoting political education and moral inspiration from President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, and

  • Supporting charitable initiatives such as “For the Poor” and “Gratitude to Veterans”.

Companies also prioritized employee welfare, organizing recognition programs for workers’ children, and providing financial support for staff facing illness or hardship.

Each year, the Division honors outstanding individuals and collectives, awarding titles such as “Grassroots Emulation Fighter” and “Outstanding Worker” to acknowledge their contributions.

In 2023, the IZ Division received multiple awards at both provincial and group levels:
