Introduction of the Taiwan Rice Trade Association
Established in December 2011, the Rice Business Association is an organization comprising the Taiwan Provincial Rice Trade Associations, the Taipei City Rice Trade Association, and the Taiwanese Rice Trade Association. Xinbei City Rice Trade Association, Kaohsiung City Rice Trade Association, Taoyuan City Rice Trade Association organized the city.
In the period of 2013 – 2015, due to food safety scandals in Taiwan, Taiwan’s “Law on Food Hygiene and Safety” was revised in the direction of tightening safety management. Food Hygiene. In 2002, Taiwan joined WTO, had to open its domestic rice market and committed to import 144720 tons of rice each year under the tariff quota regime.
