Guangdong (China) Imported Food Association – IFA is a non-governmental organization, specializing in imported food, founded in 2016, by the Department of Social Organizations Management. Guangdong Provincial Civil Affairs Department approved, Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province directed.
The association is an industry cooperative and mutual support organization comprising importers, food agents, and consumers, and that deal in peripheral industries related to food imports (logistics, customs clearance, storage, e-commerce, financial services), related industry associations and a number of industry experts voluntarily join the organization. The association is the bridge between the foreign market with domestic importers and third party service providers.
The association has co-organized and is a strategic partner of trade shows, seminars, exhibitions (FOOD2CHINA EXPO – Guangzhou Imports Food Fair), promotional media products (FOOD TO CHINA – Specialized imported food magazine), e-commerce (FOOD2CHINA.COM – B2B specialized imported food website) to connect supply and demand, and bring commercial opportunities to businesses. Currently the association has more than 400 members.
Service content set by the association is:
+ Coordinate and support, including promotion and consumption so that foreign elite food producers can enter the Chinese market.
+ Coordinate and support Chinese enterprises to import and consume foodstuff to find sources of good quality goods and exploit consumption channels. Provide Chinese food import businesses with moves, market trends, science and technology, and domestic and international food related policies.
+ Coordinate and support foreign agencies and organizations in China to propagate and promote food and culinary culture.
