CSVN – On May 15, a working delegation from the Korea Trade–Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA Hanoi)conducted a survey visit to the Nam Pleiku Industrial Park (IP), which is invested and developed by Chu Se Rubber Company Limited. The visit was part of the Investment Promotion Consulting Program in Gia Lai Province, jointly organized by Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) and KOTRA Hanoi.
Strategic Location and Strong Potential for Investment
Before the field survey, the delegation was briefed by Nam Pleiku IP’s management on the project’s scale and investment potential.
The Nam Pleiku Industrial Park covers a total area of 191.55 hectares, spanning Ia Tiêm Commune (Chu Se District)and Ia Băng Commune (Chu Prong District). The project’s strategic location provides exceptional logistical advantages, being connected by major transport routes such as National Highways 14, 19, and 25, and the Ho Chi Minh Road, linking Gia Lai with other Central Highlands provinces, the South Central Coast, and northeastern Cambodia. It is also conveniently situated near Le Thanh International Border Gate and Bo Y Border Gate, which connect to Cambodia and Laos — offering ideal conditions for export-oriented investment.
Additionally, the park has been approved by the Prime Minister for the development of a dry port, creating a strategic advantage for attracting logistics, warehousing, and export processing investments.
Rapid Infrastructure Development
Currently, Chu Se Rubber Company Limited is accelerating infrastructure development, particularly environmental infrastructure, to put the industrial park into operation soon and meet investor demand.
So far, 10 investors have registered to lease land in the park, covering approximately 80 hectares. To shorten the project timeline, the developer has proposed provincial authorities allow simultaneous project approval and infrastructure completion, enabling parallel processing of investment procedures.
Nam Pleiku IP aims to attract industries such as:
-
Agro-forestry product processing
-
Biological material production
-
Food processing
-
Animal feed manufacturing
-
Fertilizer production
-
Consumer goods manufacturing
-
Mechanical engineering and construction equipment
Positive Feedback from KOTRA Delegation
During the field survey, the KOTRA delegation praised the favorable conditions and development potential of Nam Pleiku Industrial Park, describing it as one of Gia Lai’s most promising large-scale industrial zones.
The Korean delegation expressed interest in FDI projects aligned with the province’s comparative advantages, especially in pharmaceutical and herbal product processing — a sector receiving growing attention from Korean investors.
The delegation also encouraged faster infrastructure completion, so that KOTRA Hanoi can introduce and promote the park to Korean enterprises seeking investment opportunities in Vietnam.
Furthermore, KOTRA recommended the inclusion of English and Korean-language materials in Nam Pleiku IP’s promotional documents and investment brochures, to enhance accessibility and communication for potential foreign investors.
