Due to limited domestic production, this market imports most of consumer goods and basic necessities to meet domestic demand, many of which are export strengths of Vietnam such as seafood, agricultural products of all kinds (cashew, tea, coffee, pepper, vegetables, rice …), construction materials, consumer goods and household appliances, footwear, products textile products …
Regarding trade relations: In 2014, two-way trade exchange reached 102 million USD, up 75% compared to 2013. In which, Vietnam’s exports reached 81.6 million USD, up 68%, imports reached USD 20.4 million, up 110% compared to the same period in 2013. In the first 6 months of 2015, two-way trade exchange reached USD 73.4 million. In which, Vietnam’s exports reached 72.8 million USD, and imports reached 0.6 million USD.
