Nearly 17,000 Households in the Central Highlands Receive Land

According to data from the Central Highlands Steering Committee, Program 134 has significantly improved the material and spiritual well-being of ethnic minority communities living in remote areas of the Central Highlands.

After five years of implementation, the provinces in the region have allocated 5,726 hectares of production land to 16,934 local ethnic minority households—fulfilling 84.2% of the target area and benefiting 79.8% of the intended households.

Within the framework of Program 134, the Central Highlands provinces have also built and supported the repair of homes for 58,249 ethnic minority households, achieving 99.8% of the housing target. In addition, they have constructed decentralized clean-water facilities serving more than 30,300 households and built over 1,500 centralized water-supply systems for ethnic minority villages and hamlets.

Notably, Đắk Lắk and Đắk Nông provinces have now basically achieved the key objectives set out by Program 134.

Many ethnic minority families who once lived in poverty have, thanks to the program’s support with production tools and scientific and technical guidance, become exemplary models of successful rural production.
