
The 21st Vietnam International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition (VietnamPlas & VietnamRubber 2023)officially opened on the morning of October 18 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.

Taking place over four days, from October 18 to 21, this year’s exhibition attracted participation from over 625 exhibitors with more than 1,100 booths representing 22 countries and territories, including Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Cambodia, China, the Czech Republic, France, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan (China), Thailand, Turkey, the United States, and Vietnam.
With a total exhibition area of over 23,000 square meters, the event has doubled in both scale and booth numberscompared to 2022—underscoring the robust potential of Vietnam’s plastics and rubber industries. Currently, these sectors are witnessing an impressive compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of around 8%.
Two Main Sectors: Plastics and Rubber
The exhibition is divided into two specialized segments:

Plastics industry equipment: bag cutting machines, blow molding machines, extruders, Flexo printing machines, granulators, injection molding machines, PET blow molding machines, film machines, pipe extrusion and forming lines, recycling systems, PVC mixers, and heating units.

Rubber industry machinery: rubber presses, rubber mixing lines, central grinders, pelletizers, and molding systems.

Chemicals and raw materials: intermediates and basic chemicals, color masterbatch, engineering plastics, technical polymers, fibers, pigments, rubber additives, elastomers, and PVC compounds.

Alongside the exhibition, two major conferences were held:
