Following the success of the “Vietnam International Sourcing 2024”, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam (MOIT), in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, will organize the “Vietnam International Sourcing 2025” event from September 4 to 6, 2025.
The event aims to strengthen connections between international distributors, importers, and domestic manufacturers and exporters.
Expanding Vietnam’s Role in the Global Supply Chain

Since 2023, the annual Vietnam International Sourcing series has been a key initiative under the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 1415/QĐ-TTg (dated November 14, 2022), approving the project “Promoting Vietnamese Enterprises’ Direct Participation in Foreign Distribution Networks by 2030.”
The program pursues four key goals:

Develop sustainable export and import markets with long-term growth.

Encourage Vietnamese enterprises to integrate deeper into global supply, production, and distribution chains.

Strengthen partnerships between domestic producers/exporters and global distributors—both through traditional channels and cross-border e-commerce.

Promote sustainable production, attract investment in green manufacturing, and enhance the reputation of Vietnam as a reliable, large-scale goods supplier.
Strong Support and Direction from the Government
From early 2025, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien and MOIT leaders have directed all relevant departments and Vietnam Trade Offices abroad to actively invite and organize delegations of international buyers and distributors to join the event in Ho Chi Minh City.
In Official Telegram No. 5739/CĐ-BCT issued on August 3, 2025, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien emphasized:
“The global economy has faced unprecedented disruptions, from major trade conflicts and supply chain breakdowns to new protectionist measures and changing consumption trends.
In response, Vietnam has accelerated market diversification and supply chain restructuring to maintain export momentum and global competitiveness.”
He reaffirmed that the Vietnam International Sourcing series, organized since 2023, has become a flagship trade promotion platform, highly appreciated by the business community for its tangible results in expanding Vietnam’s export markets.
Philippine Delegation Ready to Join
Among the many international participants, the Philippines delegation has expressed strong enthusiasm to attend Vietnam International Sourcing 2025.
The delegation includes leading Filipino importers, distributors, and business associations eager to explore partnership opportunities with Vietnamese producers in sectors such as agriculture, food processing, consumer goods, textiles, and industrial products.
Their participation is expected to enhance trade ties between Vietnam and the Philippines, contributing to the shared goal of developing resilient and sustainable regional supply chains.
Towards Vietnam International Sourcing Expo 2025
As preparations accelerate, MOIT continues to instruct Vietnam Trade Offices worldwide to promote the event, identify key buyers, and coordinate participation of major retail chains and distributors.
With its growing scale and reputation, Vietnam International Sourcing 2025 is set to become one of Southeast Asia’s premier trade connection platforms, helping elevate the global visibility of Vietnamese brands and products.
