Promoting Vietnamese Products at the WOFEX Food Expo, Manila, Philippines

The 25th edition of the World Food Expo (WOFEX) took place from August 6–9, 2025, at the World Trade Centerand SMX Convention Center, Manila, Philippines. This year’s event marked the 25th anniversary of WOFEX — a journey that has transformed the fair from a small domestic food show into one of the largest and most prestigious food industry trade fairs in the Philippines. WOFEX now attracts not only local Filipino companies but also a growing number of international food enterprises aiming to expand into the Philippine market.

A Grand-Scale Food Industry Event

WOFEX 2025 hosted a record number of local and international food companies across two major venues — the World Trade Center and SMX Convention Center. At SMX, the exhibition occupied two full floors, showcasing a wide range of industries including food processing, packaging, catering services, and hospitality. From opening day, thousands of visitors lined up to purchase tickets and explore the bustling exhibition halls.

Vietnam’s Participation: Showcasing Quality and Taste

As part of its 2025 trade promotion program, the Vietnam Trade Office in the Philippines participated in WOFEX in collaboration with several Filipino importers and distributors of Vietnamese goods. Together, they organized product showcases, live tasting sessions, and promotional displays to introduce high-quality Vietnamese food and beverages to Filipino consumers and international guests.

Among the products featured, Vietnamese coffee — a long-time favorite among Filipino consumers — received special attention. Visitors were invited to sample authentic Vietnamese coffee and other products, which left a strong impression thanks to their distinctive aroma and rich flavor. Many guests shared that the experience evoked pleasant memories of their travels to Vietnam, with some expressing a renewed desire to visit the country again.

Building Bridges Through Food and Culture

At every international exhibition it participates in, the Vietnam Trade Office in the Philippines strives to promote a friendly, dynamic image of Vietnam and its people, while showcasing the nation’s economic progress and growing reputation for quality exports. Events like WOFEX not only highlight the taste and craftsmanship of Vietnamese products but also help dispel outdated stereotypes about Vietnam among international audiences — reinforcing its image as a country of innovation, hospitality, and excellence.
