Rubber Tech Vietnam 2024 to Be Held Under the Theme “Sustainable Rubber – The Trend of the Era”

The 20th Vietnam International Chemical Industry Exhibition (VINACHEM EXPO 2024) and the Vietnam International Rubber and Tire Exhibition (RUBBER TECH VIETNAM 2024) will take place from November 27 to 29, 2024, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), located at 799 Nguyen Van Linh, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.

Highlighting the Theme “Sustainable Rubber – The Trend of the Era”

RUBBER TECH VIETNAM 2024 is expected to gather over 150 booths representing 130 Vietnamese and international enterprises, showcasing advanced technologies and innovative rubber products across several categories:

  • Raw materials: natural rubber, synthetic rubber, recycled rubber, and mixture rubber.

  • Rubber chemicals: vulcanizing agents, antioxidants, carbon black, and other additives.

  • Rubber machinery: tire manufacturing machines, conveyor belt equipment, footwear machines, and related accessories.

  • Reinforcing materials: steel cords, fiber cords, industrial fabrics, and technical textiles.

  • Tires and inner tubes: all kinds of tires, tubes, valves, and accessories.

  • Non-tire rubber products: hoses, adhesives, foam rubber, rubber footwear, automotive and household rubber items, and apparel-related rubber products.

The exhibition will serve as a major business platform for domestic and international enterprises to strengthen cooperation, expand markets, and improve operational efficiency in the context of global economic integration. The event is expected to attract manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and end-users from around the world.

Vietnam’s Rubber Industry: Integrating Deeply into Global Markets

Vietnam’s rubber industry continues to integrate more deeply with international trade. According to preliminary statistics, in the first quarter of 2024, Vietnam exported 414,310 tons of rubber, with a total export value of USD 607.35 million— an increase of 8.5% in volume and 14.3% in value compared to the same period in 2023.

The EU–Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) has created favorable conditions for attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) into Vietnam’s rubber industry. The gradual reduction of import tariffs on raw materials, machinery, and equipment to 0% encourages joint ventures and cooperation projects in rubber product manufacturing. This trend is promoting the development of rubber processing industries, increasing value-added production, diversifying product lines, and helping Vietnam’s rubber sector deepen its participation in domestic and international value chains — from raw material supply to finished product manufacturing for both domestic consumption and export markets.

A Platform for International Cooperation and Technology Exchange

The organizers believe that RUBBER TECH VIETNAM 2024 will continue to play a vital role in:

  • Strengthening trade connections between Vietnamese and international enterprises.

  • Promoting advanced materials, machinery, and technologies.

  • Enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnam’s rubber and tire manufacturing sector.

  • Creating opportunities for foreign manufacturers to explore partnerships, find distributors, or supply equipment to the Vietnamese market.
