According to the Vietnam Trade Office in Singapore, the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has launched a new Electronic Service (e-Service) platform for the declaration and retrieval of laboratory test results for fresh and chilled imported fruits and vegetables.
The e-Service platform is designed for Singapore importers to access laboratory inspection results conducted by Singapore Customs on imported fruit and vegetable shipments. The official rollout begins on May 1, 2025.
Three-Month Transition Period Before Full Implementation
Singapore importers will have a three-month transition period (from May 1 to July 31, 2025) to prepare for participation. During this phase, laboratory test results will continue to be communicated through traditional channelssuch as phone calls and SMS messages.
Starting August 1, 2025, only non-compliant test results or destruction-related procedures will continue to be notified via phone, while compliant test results will be uploaded directly to the e-Service platform.
Access via Singpass and Corppass
SFA’s hotline confirmed that the e-Service system is accessible via Singpass and Corppass credentials. At present, the system allows Singapore-registered importers to view only their own test results and not those of other accounts.
Foreign companies, including Vietnamese exporters, who wish to obtain laboratory inspection outcomes must coordinate directly with their Singaporean import partners, who are the official importers of record.
Importers in Singapore can access the system by visiting the official SFA website (www.sfa.gov.sg) and following the navigation path:
Digital Services → Food Import & Export → Inspection and Laboratory Test Outcome – Import Inspection of Fresh Fruits & Vegetables
or directly via: https://ifast.sfa.gov.sg/eserviceweb/.

Encouraging Digital Adoption in the Food Import Sector
The Vietnam Trade Office in Singapore views this initiative as a positive step by SFA, encouraging importers and food-sector enterprises to adopt digital solutions for improved efficiency, transparency, and traceability.
Vietnamese exporters of fresh and chilled fruits and vegetables are advised to:
-
Stay updated with these new digital requirements,
-
Maintain close coordination with Singapore import partners, and
-
Be prepared to respond promptly in case of laboratory inspection alerts or compliance requests.
