
In June 2025, the Consulate General and the Trade Office of Vietnam (CNTV) in Houston organized a series of meetings and working sessions with major industrial and energy enterprises and regional chambers of commerce and trade associations across the Southern United States, with the goal of facilitating business connections, market understanding, and investment cooperation between Vietnam and the region.

1. Strengthening Collaboration with U.S. Industrial Partners
The Vietnamese Consulate General in Houston welcomed representatives of THACO Industries’ Houston Office, discussing potential areas of industrial and energy cooperation.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on expanding business and technology partnerships and promoting Vietnamese industrial products in the U.S. market.
2. Promoting Vietnam’s Industrial Zones
CNTV Houston also supported THACO Industries in promoting its manufacturing and export capabilities in the United States.
As part of this initiative, a delegation of U.S. companies visited the THACO Chu Lai Industrial Park in Quảng Nam Province, where they were introduced to the modern production infrastructure and investment opportunities within Vietnam’s growing automotive and mechanical industries.
3. Exploring Hydrogen Energy Collaboration
The company Rockwell H2 Systems presented its hydrogen energy project at the Consulate General in Houston, highlighting potential collaboration opportunities in clean energy development and technology transfer to Vietnam.
Hydrogen energy is emerging as a strategic priority for both the United States and Vietnam, aligning with global efforts toward carbon neutrality and sustainable industrial growth.
4. Trade Office B2B Engagements in Texas
CNTV Houston held direct working sessions with multiple Texas-based companies, providing them with detailed information about Vietnam’s investment environment, energy policies, and industrial development roadmap.
These efforts aim to strengthen trade relations, foster B2B partnerships, and attract investment in key sectors such as renewable energy, manufacturing, and logistics.
Outlook: Expanding U.S.–Vietnam Industrial Cooperation
Through continuous outreach and business facilitation, CNTV Houston remains committed to bridging Vietnamese enterprises with the Southern U.S. industrial ecosystem, particularly in fields like energy transition, advanced manufacturing, and technology innovation.
The Consulate General emphasized its role as a strategic connector — promoting bilateral trade, industrial collaboration, and sustainable investment between Vietnam and the United States, especially in the rapidly developing Southern economic corridor (Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, and surrounding states).
