Strengthening Vietnam–U.S. Trade Relations through Viet Nam International Sourcing 2025
Table of Contents
From 2023 to 2025, the Vietnam Trade Office Branch in Houston, Texas (USA) has actively supported businesses in the Southern U.S. region to participate in the annual Viet Nam International Sourcing (VIS) event series organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City.
Through VIS, many American associations, importers, and distributors have successfully established long-term partnerships with Vietnamese manufacturers, importing key and specialty products directly from Vietnam and supplying them to major U.S. retail chains such as Costco, Walmart, H.E.B, Kroger, Total Wine, and Hong Kong Food Market.
VIS 2025 – A Golden Opportunity for Vietnamese Enterprises
In 2025, major importers, distributors, wholesalers, and logistics service providers from Texas — including L&V Food Supply, C&T Produce Wholesale, Ca Mau Supermarket, Port Houston, and MIB – Morris International Beverage — will participate in Viet Nam International Sourcing 2025 to seek reliable partners and suppliers from Vietnam in key sectors such as:
-
Engineering, machinery, and electronics
-
Textile, footwear, chemicals, and plastics
-
Food and beverages
-
Handicrafts and furniture
VIS 2025 is expected to become a leading B2B platform in the Asia-Pacific region, connecting U.S. and Vietnamese enterprises and facilitating trade, investment, and export cooperation.
Expanding Partnerships – Unlocking Global Opportunities
According to the Vietnam Trade Office in Houston, the VIS 2023–2024 editions achieved significant results, notably:
-
MIB – Morris International Beverage signed a long-term exclusive import agreement with HABECO (Hanoi Beer, Alcohol and Beverage Corporation) to distribute Hanoi Beer across hundreds of retail outlets throughout the U.S.
-
Major Vietnamese corporations including THACO, Viettronics Tan Binh, MASAN, BRG, and Tan Thang Cement established key business connections with American distributors, paving the way for future export and investment deals.
For 2025, VIS continues to attract attention from major U.S. business associations and chambers, such as:
-
Asian Chamber of Commerce (ACC)
-
Greater Houston Partnership (GHP)
-
Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC)
-
Bilateral Chamber of Commerce
Additionally, U.S. agencies such as the Small Business Administration (SBA) and SBDC Houston have partnered with the Vietnam Trade Office to explore collaboration opportunities via both in-person and virtual participation. These partnerships aim to bring more U.S. enterprises to Vietnam for factory visits, sourcing, and investment in 2025.
