
Ho Chi Minh City, July 15, 2025 — The Vietnam-Cambodia Business Networking Conference, jointly organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam (MOIT) and related agencies, concluded successfully at the Tan Son Nhat Convention Center, bringing together government officials, business leaders, and investors from both countries.
Strong Participation from Businesses and Investors

The event attracted more than 250 companies and investors from Vietnam and Cambodia, along with representatives from government bodies and trade associations. Among the distinguished participants was Oknha Kith Meng, President of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC) and Chairman of the ASEAN-Cambodia Business Advisory Council.
The conference aimed to enhance trade and investment cooperation between the two countries by sharing information on import-export markets, facilitating direct business-to-business (B2B) connections, and promoting a wide range of consumer goods, agricultural products, and investment projects of mutual interest.
Promoting Bilateral Trade and Investment Opportunities
The plenary session featured speeches from representatives of both nations, followed by open dialogues and market information sessions. Participants discussed current challenges and proposed solutions to further strengthen bilateral economic and trade relations.
A highlight of the event was the B2B networking session, where 20 tables were arranged for direct exchanges between Vietnamese and Cambodian enterprises. The exhibition area showcased 26 booths featuring products and services from various sectors, including agriculture, fisheries, textiles, packaging, food, cosmetics, consumer goods, electrical equipment, machinery, fertilizers, banking, real estate, transportation, and logistics.
Key Statements from Business Leaders
Oknha Kith Meng, President of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, emphasized that both countries have great potential for expanding trade and investment cooperation, especially in agriculture and agro-processing. He noted that Cambodia welcomes fair and transparent investment from Vietnamese companies, particularly in northeastern provinceswhere the government is encouraging new projects.
Mr. Do Quoc Hung, Deputy Director General of the Department of Asia-Africa Markets, MOIT, highlighted that Vietnam and Cambodia share a special traditional friendship and that trade and economic cooperation remain a top priority for both governments. Strengthening enterprise connectivity is crucial to maintaining supply chain stability, leveraging free trade agreements, and enhancing the competitiveness of both sides.
“This conference is a practical step toward achieving sustainable bilateral trade growth and building a modern, efficient, and balanced trade ecosystem between the two economies,” he said.
Oknha Leng Rity, President of the Vietnam-Cambodia Business Association (VCBA), added that Cambodian businesses are increasingly interested in Vietnamese goods, technologies, and management models — particularly in high-tech agriculture, food processing, consumer products, and logistics services.
Strengthening Institutional Cooperation
Representatives from the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce reaffirmed the country’s commitment to promoting trade facilitation and supporting investors from Vietnam. Both sides recognized the significant potential for future cooperation in various sectors that benefit the business communities of both countries.
At the conclusion of the event, the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC) and the Vietnam-Cambodia Business Association (VCBA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen coordination, promote information exchange, and develop joint trade promotion programs in the coming period.
