India is currently one of the world’s fastest-growing furniture markets, with a population of 1.45 billion people and ranking as the second-largest wood producer globally. The Indian furniture industry was valued at USD 23 billion in 2022 and is projected to reach USD 33 billion by 2026, driven by rapid urbanization, rising incomes, and growing demand for premium housing.
The online furniture market in India is also expanding significantly, expected to hit USD 40 billion by 2030, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of approximately 22%. Emerging consumer trends — such as modern design, sustainable wooden materials, and smart interior solutions — are creating vast opportunities for collaboration between manufacturers and distributors across the region.
Promoting Vietnam–India Cooperation in the Wood and Furniture Industry
To strengthen trade and investment cooperation between Vietnamese and Indian enterprises in the wood and furniture sector, the Vietnam Trade Office in India, in collaboration with relevant agencies, will organize an online webinar titled:
“Vietnam–India Cooperation in the Wood and Furniture Industry.”
