Vietnam Participates in the 38th Surajkund International Crafts Fair

The Surajkund International Crafts Fair is an annual event that provides a platform for countries to showcase traditional handicrafts, cultural heritage, and culinary art. In 2024, the fair attracted participation from over 26 countries, featuring 362 performing artists and welcoming more than one million visitors, including thousands of international tourists.

A Celebration of Global Craftsmanship and Culture

Organized by the Government of Haryana in collaboration with India’s Ministries of Tourism, Textiles, External Affairs, and Culture, along with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), the Surajkund Fair has become one of the most vibrant cultural showcases in South Asia.

Each year, the event highlights the rich diversity of global handicrafts, offering artisans, designers, and cultural performers a unique opportunity to connect with buyers, traders, and visitors from around the world.

Vietnam Showcases Traditional Handicrafts at Surajkund 2025

At the 38th Surajkund International Crafts Fair, held from February 7–23, 2025 in Surajkund, Faridabad, Haryana, India, Vietnam’s delegation includes five artisans from the Hanoi Craft Village Association.

They will present traditional Vietnamese handicrafts made from bamboo, rattan, horn, and agricultural by-products, reflecting Vietnam’s long-standing craftsmanship and sustainable creativity.

Through live demonstrations and exhibitions, the Vietnamese artisans aim to introduce the beauty, precision, and environmental friendliness of Vietnam’s handmade products to the Indian and international audience.

Strengthening Vietnam–India Cultural and Trade Ties

Vietnam’s participation in the 2025 Surajkund Fair serves multiple objectives:

  • Promoting Vietnamese culture, handicrafts, tourism, and aviation services.

  • Enhancing business connectivity between Vietnamese and Indian enterprises.

  • Expanding Vietnam’s commercial and cultural presence in the Indian market.

The event offers Vietnamese businesses an excellent opportunity to display products, meet potential partners, and explore new export channels in India — a dynamic and growing market within South Asia.
