
As part of the National Trade Promotion Program 2025, approved by the Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnamunder Decision No. 4057/QĐ-BCT dated December 31, 2024, the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE)will organize the Trade Promotion Delegation to Japan 2025, in conjunction with participation in the World Expo Osaka 2025.
1. Program Overview

The delegation will consist of 20–25 representatives from Vietnamese government agencies, trade organizations, and enterprises nationwide.
From May 24 to June 1, 2025, the mission will travel to Osaka, Aichi, and Tokyo, engaging in a series of high-level trade promotion and business networking activities.
2. Objectives of the Program
The mission aims not only to introduce high-quality Vietnamese products and services to Japanese importers and distributors, but also to build long-term business partnerships through:

B2B matchmaking sessions between Vietnamese and Japanese enterprises,

Seminars and networking events with trade support organizations,

Meetings with leading importers, wholesalers, and manufacturers in Japan.
Beyond business promotion, this event is also an important branding opportunity — enabling Vietnamese enterprises to showcase their image, innovation, and competitiveness in one of the world’s most demanding yet promising markets.
3. Key Sectors and Participation Criteria
The program welcomes participation from enterprises of all economic sectors, as well as business associations, industrial zones, export processing zones, and provincial trade departments.
Priority will be given to industries with high export potential to Japan, including:

5. Support from Local Departments and Agencies
Following the Ministry’s plan, many local trade departments across Vietnam have launched initiatives to mobilize participation.
For instance, Binh Thuan Department of Industry and Trade recognized this as a strategic export opportunity, particularly for seafood, textiles, and paper — which collectively account for nearly 32% of the province’s total export value to Japan in 2024.
The department is actively coordinating with local associations and enterprises to encourage participation and maximize regional export potential.
