Promoting Vietnamese Processed Food Exports to Canada
Table of Contents
In 2025, the Vietnam Trade Office in Canada will implement several programs to support Vietnamese processed food enterprises in expanding exports and strengthening their presence in the Canadian market.
For the first time, Vietnamese companies will have the opportunity to join a trade promotion mission covering both Eastern (Toronto) and Western Canada (Vancouver) from April 28 to May 4, 2025.
This mission offers a rare chance for Vietnamese businesses to explore the Canadian food market, showcase high-quality and innovative products, and connect with potential partners across the country.
Key activities of the program include:
1. Participation in SIAL Canada 2025 – North America’s Leading Food Exhibition
The 22nd edition of SIAL Canada will take place from April 29 to May 1, 2025, at the Enercare Centre in Toronto.
Recognized as the largest annual international food innovation trade show in North America, SIAL Canada serves as a gateway for global food producers to connect with markets in Canada, the U.S., and worldwide.
Thousands of exhibitors and global brands participate each year, introducing new trends, innovations, and products in the food and beverage sector.
Vietnamese companies participating in SIAL 2025 will not only exhibit products at the Vietnam Pavilion, but also attend seminars, panel discussions, and B2B meetings with buyers and distributors.

2. Participation in the Indo-Pacific Food Supply Chain Connectivity Forum
Scheduled for May 2–3, 2025, this Indo-Pacific Food Supply Chain Forum is organized by the Canada–ASEAN Business Council (CABC).
It is a major trade networking event held in the context of global trade tensions and the increasing importance of supply chain diversification for both Canada and ASEAN countries, which are key partners under Canada’s Indo-Pacific Strategy.
Vietnamese participants will have the opportunity to present their products and connect with leading Canadian food enterprises, particularly in Vancouver, one of Canada’s largest business hubs.
3. Visits to Asian and Vietnamese Supermarkets and Distributors
During the mission, participating enterprises will visit local retail chains, Asian supermarkets, and Vietnamese-owned businesses in Canada to learn more about market demand, import standards, and consumer preferences.
These visits aim to help businesses adapt their products to meet Canada’s market requirements and identify suitable distribution channels.
