The Philippines Food Expo (Philfoodexpo) is the country’s largest annual food industry event, held every April in Manila. It serves as a key platform for food producers, exporters, and distributors to showcase products, promote brands, and seek business partnerships.
Supported by the Philippine Government and key organizations including the Department of Agriculture, the Philippine Exporters Confederation (PhilExport), the Employers Confederation of the Philippines, and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), the Expo plays a pivotal role in advancing the food manufacturing and processing sector.
The 17th Philippines Food Expo took place from April 4 to 6, 2025, at the World Trade Center, Manila, attracting strong participation from both local and international exhibitors.
Vietnamese Participation Highlighted by Strong Trade Interest
As part of its 2025 trade promotion plan, the Vietnam Trade Office in the Philippines actively participated in the Expo to support domestic enterprises in promoting Vietnamese products, expanding partnerships, and exploring new distribution networks.
Many Vietnamese companies sent sample products, company profiles, and catalogs for display, allowing the Trade Office to represent them in promotion and business matchmaking efforts.
Among the participants, several Vietnamese companies directly attended the exhibition, including:
-
Viet Nhat Manufacturing and Trading Co., Ltd. – showcasing raw and processed cashew nuts, and dried fruits;
-
Long Son Foods Co., Ltd. – introducing roasted and processed cashew products;
-
Vinamilk – presenting its signature dairy products;
-
Dai Duong Y Tuong Co., Ltd. (Idea Ocean) – promoting its line of flavored milk tea products.

Vietnamese Booths Attract Strong Foot Traffic and Tasting Enthusiasm
The Vietnamese booths drew significant interest from Philippine visitors, distributors, and importers. Guests were invited to taste and experience a wide range of products — from salt-roasted cashews, seasoned nuts, and coffee to milk tea beverages.
“The rich flavors and distinctive aroma of Vietnam’s cashew and coffee products impressed many local consumers and distributors, leading to discussions on partnership and import opportunities,” the Trade Office reported.
The exhibition not only introduced Vietnamese products but also reinforced Vietnam’s image as a source of high-quality, value-added food products with competitive export potential.

Strengthening Bilateral Trade and Supply Chain Partnerships
On this occasion, the Vietnam Trade Office in the Philippines also used the event to invite Philippine distributors and importers to attend upcoming trade fairs in Vietnam — particularly the Vietnam International Sourcing Expo 2025, scheduled for September 4–6, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Expo, hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), aims to connect Vietnamese manufacturers with global retail chains and importers, supporting the implementation of the National Program on Promoting Vietnamese Enterprises’ Direct Participation in Overseas Distribution Networks by 2030 (Decision No. 1415/QĐ-TTg, dated November 14, 2022).
