The Netherlands – A Strategic Gateway to the EU Market

The Netherlands is considered a gateway to the European Union (EU) — one of the world’s leading logistics and trade hubs, especially for fruits, vegetables, and agricultural products.

With the implementation of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), Vietnamese and Dutch businesses are seeing significant new opportunities for cooperation and trade expansion.

The EU remains a dynamic and high-value market, and the Netherlands plays a vital role as a distribution and transshipment center for goods imported from developing countries.

In recent years, Vietnam–Netherlands trade relations have continued to strengthen, particularly in agri-food, machinery, and high-tech sectors, offering promising prospects for sustainable export growth.
